Eqn: Germany takes lead in dressage ... again
ATHENS, Aug 20 Reuters - Germany took the lead after the first day of the team dressage
grand prix today with the United States in second and Britain third.
German riders Heike Kemmer and Hubertus Schmidt gave Germany the lead with 71.813 percent
after the first day of competition.
Germany have won the team dressage gold medal in the last five Olympics and eight of
the last nine they took part in.
The US riders Guenter Siedel and Lisa Wilcox were in second place with 69.146 per cent.
Britain, bronze medal winners at last year's European Championships, were in third
place with 69.084 per cent.
Spain are in fourth on 68.771.
