It's not glamorous like Cannes or celeb-studded like Sundance.
Instead, the second-annual Woodstock Film Festival, which ran Thursday through Sunday, focused on the work of independent filmmakers, offering audiences industry-oriented panels and workshops, plus a slate of films from experimental features to quirky shorts to thought-provoking documentaries.
The quaint, intimate atmosphere of the festival is one of its primary strengths, say organizers. Even the few celebrities who converged on Tinker Street to participate in panel discussions or host their new movies seemed fascinated with the casual approach.
