YUSKO WINS A 6TH TERM IN HUDSON; DEMOCRATS HOLD COUNCIL REPUBLICANS WIN KINDERHOOK SUPERVISOR RACE.(Local)

Democratic Mayor Michael Yusko Jr. was re-elected to a sixth term defeating Republican Thomas Koulos by 55 percent to 45 percent, according to unofficial returns Tuesday.

The Democrats also took all four citywide posts - three of which were uncontested - and retained control of the Common Council.

In the town supervisor races in northern Columbia County, incumbents took Claverack and Greenport, while Republicans recaptured Kinderhook. Results were unavailable for Stockport and Stuyvesant.
