Qld: Tongues tied in protest pucker up
BRISBANE, Jan 14 AAP - Protesters were hardly tongue tied today when around 100 people
puckered up at a Brisbane city park to demonstrate against restrictions on kissing in
public.
Hailed as the great kiss off, the event was staged because two gay men were ejected
from the South Bank parklands last weekend when they refused to stop kissing in public.
National Union of Students (NUS) officer Mark Pendleton said the action by security
staff and police was homophobic and should not be tolerated.
